Staff & Lay Elders
Joe is the pastor-teacher of Emmanuel Bible Church. After completing his pastoral training at The Master’s Seminary in 2007, he was called to Emmanuel later that same year. Joe was born in Kalispell, Montana but grew up in Idaho as one of seven children of a pastor/missionary. Before going to seminary Joe was serving as a Youth Pastor in Lincoln, Montana where he also was a wildland firefighter and highschool basketball coach. Joe and his wife Julie have two sons (Thomas and John) and three daughters (Annalie, Olivia, and Felicity).
Tanner (Associate Pastor) was born and raised on a ranch in the nearby Highwood Mountains. While attending Montana State University and playing Football for the Bobcats, Tanner got involved in a Bible study that the Lord used to radically alter his life and eternity. In 2011, he began an internship at Grace Bible Church in Bozeman that led to an associate pastoral ministry there until January of 2016 when he came on staff at Emmanuel. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity through The Master's Seminary and is ACBC certified. Tanner and his wife Brooke were married in 2013 and have two daughters, Harmony and Meg and a son Timothy. When he's not training, preaching, or studying, Tanner enjoys reading old western novels with his wife, or anything outdoors...including hunting, fishing, running, and camping.
Mike became a lay elder in 2017 and having served in the body at Emmanuel for a number of years.
